These terms are an agreement between [legal entity name] (“WRAB”, “we”) and you, for the use of WRAB SCHOOL: the web portal, the mobile app, school websites made with it and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, registering a school or using the Service, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how personal data is handled.
1. Who these terms apply to
- Schools. The person who registers a school confirms they are authorised to bind the school, its trust or society, and accepts these terms and the data processing terms on its behalf. The school is responsible for how its staff use the Service.
- Staff use the Service as members of their school, within the role the school gives them.
- Parents and guardians use the Service to stay in touch with their child’s school, after the school has verified their link to the child.
- Students use a login the school creates. A student under 18 uses it with the knowledge of their parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for them.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your phone, password and authenticator safe. You are responsible for what happens with your account; tell us or your school straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- One account is for one person. Do not share it, even with family members; each parent can have their own.
- We may require two-step verification for sensitive actions such as refunds, payroll and exports.
3. What schools are responsible for
- Having a lawful basis, and the parental consent the law requires, for the personal data the school puts into the Service, and telling families how the school uses it.
- The accuracy of its records, fee amounts, marks and results, and the decisions it makes with the Service.
- Giving staff only the access their job needs, and removing access when someone leaves.
- Complying with the laws that apply to schools, including education board, tax, labour and child-protection rules.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- break the law, or harass, threaten or harm anyone, especially a child;
- access data you are not permitted to see, or try to get around security, permissions or limits;
- upload malware or content you have no right to share;
- send messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or bulk messages outside what the school is allowed to send;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service, or scrape it with automated tools.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell the school when we do.
5. The school's data
- The school owns the records it keeps in the Service. We use them only to provide the Service to the school, as set out in the data processing terms.
- The school can download a full copy of its data at any time from Settings → Data export.
- Each person can download their own data from Sign-in & security → Download my data.
6. Subscription and payment
- A new school may get a free trial. After it, the school pays the subscription for its plan, as shown in the Service or in our order form, plus GST.
- Invoices are payable by their due date. If payment is overdue, we give notice; if it stays unpaid, the school’s account becomes read-only (records can still be viewed and exported) until it is paid.
- Cancelling and refunds are covered by our refund & cancellation policy.
- School fees that families pay to a school are a matter between the family and the school. WRAB does not hold or decide school fees, concessions or fee refunds; the school’s own fee policy applies.
7. The Service
- We work to keep the Service available and secure, take regular backups, and announce planned maintenance in advance where we can.
- We improve the Service over time and may change or retire features. We will not remove a feature a school depends on without reasonable notice.
- Some features rely on others, such as mobile networks, SMS and WhatsApp providers, payment gateways and app stores. Their availability is outside our control.
- AI helpers, when a school turns them on, produce suggestions that a person must check before they are used.
8. Ownership of the software
The Service, its software, design and content (other than content users upload) belong to WRAB. We give the school and its users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while the school’s subscription is active. Users keep the rights in what they upload and let us store and display it to provide the Service.
9. Warranties and liability
- The Service is provided with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, it is provided “as is”.
- Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or reputation.
- Our total liability to a school in any 12 months is limited to the subscription fees the school paid us in those 12 months.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
- The school will compensate WRAB for claims arising from data the school put into the Service without a lawful basis, or from its users breaking these terms.
10. Ending the agreement
- A school can stop using the Service at the end of any billing period. You can stop using your account at any time and ask us to delete it.
- We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment after notice, or where the law requires.
- After a school leaves, its owner can sign in read-only and download the school’s data for 90 days. The data is then retained and deleted as described in the privacy policy.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking. If that fails, the courts at [city] have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date and version above show the current terms. For changes that matter, we tell schools at least 30 days in advance, and may ask you to accept the new terms in the app. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
13. Contact
